Our annual grant from Nature.Scot includes a small amount to cover some of the costs of our targeted fieldwork programme, which aims to increase our knowledge of the biodiversity of the archipelago. This includes surveys in under-recorded areas, studies of taxonomic groups where our knowledge of the species composition and distribution within the islands is limited, and surveys of invasive non-native species (INNS).

Funding is designed to contribute to the costs of essential travel required for the fieldwork element of a biological recording project.

Grants are currently available to cover the period from April 2021 to March 2022 and are made on a first come, first serve basis.
